SANCTUARY THIS SUNDAY FEATURES THE MAKING OF THE CATHOLICISM DOCUMENTARY

The Winter-2012 edition of Sanctuary, airing Sunday, January 29, at 1 p.m. on ABC 7, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Fr. Robert Barron's epic Catholicism documentary.  You'll hear from Fr. Barron and one of his producers about the challenges of filming this ground-breaking video series in 38 cities around the world.

Viewers will also get an in-depth look at the life and times of Father Augustus Tolton, the first American diocesan priest of African descent.  Fr. Tolton was born of slave parents, became a priest and ministered here in Chicago, and is now being considered for sainthood.

Sanctuary will air Sunday, Jan. 29, at 1:00-p.m. on ABC-7.  The program is hosted by Father Greg Sakowicz, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Evanston.  Sanctuary is produced by the Archdiocesan Office of Radio and Television and is taped on location throughout the Chicago area.

IT Classes in 2012

To help you plan your training schedules for the upcoming calendar year, IT has added several classes for 2012.  You can register for the upcoming classes on the Training page of the IT website (http://it.archchicago.org)

Additional classes are likely to be added throughout the year, so check the schedule regularly for additional classes (they will not always be announced or listed on Daily Update).

If you have additional software training needs that are not satisfied by IT, please send an e-mail to Mike Riley (mriley@archchicago.org) to see what options are available.  Depending on the training needs, we may be able to provide training (can take time to develop a course) or direct you to another resource (online or classroom training from a commercial training provider).

In addition, we are continuing our membership with VTC to provide online video tutorials for our employees.  Users with GroupWise accounts provided by us can access these tutorials from the office or home via the Online Training tab on the IT website.

Entering Your Events in the Master Calendar in Daily Update

The Master Calendar found in Daily Update now uses the DotNetNuke Events Calendar module instead of a PDF file. This change allows staff of Archdiocesan departments, offices and agencies to enter events, programs and workshops themselves.
